Kitchen Confidentials serves as a global anonymous review platform designed for employees within the food industry. This platform empowers individuals to anonymously review both current and past employers, offering valuable insights into potential employers.
Upon the founders' request, I undertook the responsibility of revamping their website and enhancing the overall customer experience. The primary goal was to create a user-friendly interface, ensuring seamless access to information without complicating the user journey.
OVERVIEW
Problem
In my initial meeting with the founders and upon reviewing the existing data on website traffic, we identified significant pain points experienced by users. Key issues included incomplete feature implementation, easy navigation challenges, lack of flow between pages, and more. Additionally, crucial business use cases, such as the neglect of mobile design as a priority for their user base, needed attention.
Having gained a comprehensive understanding of the founders' website needs and how I could assist, I commenced the wireframing process for the initial site concept. Through multiple iterations and the design of all site features, I presented the final concept to the founders for approval before proceeding with the high-fidelity design phase.
Process
Given the multitude of features on this website, my responsibility was to ensure its intuitiveness for both users and developers. The goal was to create a seamless flow, making the user experience a top priority. Recognizing the substantial nature of this redesign, I conducted user tests at various stages of the design process. The objective was to guarantee the effective implementation of each key feature and ensure ease of access and use for users.
Results
Following collaboration with the founders and undergoing various iterations of wireframing and prototyping, the ultimate design received approval, was developed, and went live for all users. Subsequently, we received substantial feedback, with a significant majority of users expressing that the site has become remarkably more user-friendly and intuitive for them. This positive shift has led to an increase in traffic and enhanced interaction with all features across the platform.
